FireHawk Bioherbicide Plus Ready to Use delivers fast, non-selective control of common weeds, grasses, mosses, and algae, with visible results on most weeds in just a few hours. The pre-mixed, ready-to-spray formula makes spot treatment simple. Spray where weeds are actively growing. It is designed for use in gardens, on paths and driveways, around sheds, and for spot spraying in lawns. The Plus formulation is also a registered control for moss, lichen, liverwort, and algae on tiled roofs, walls, and rockeries. FireHawk works only where the spray lands, affecting the green plant tissue it directly contacts. Always read and follow the product label including the directions for use.

How it Works

FireHawk Bioherbicide Plus Ready to Use is a contact, non-selective weed control solution powered by nonanoic acid, a fatty acid that occurs naturally in many plants including geraniums and pelargonium oil. It works only where the spray lands, breaking down the green, actively growing plant tissue it directly coats. Because it does not move through the plant or remain active in the soil, FireHawk provides fast, visible burndown, giving home gardeners precise control over where and how they treat. Optimal results are achieved when the spray is applied in full sun to small, actively growing plants. Results are seen as browning and wilting, usually within two hours of application.

Contact-based, non-selective control
Active constituent is nonanoic acid, 28 g/L
Does not move through soil or plants
Mature, non-green woody stems are not damaged
Non-selective control

FireHawk affects any green plant tissue it contacts. Avoid spraying desirable plants. The product may damage lawn and turf when used as a spot spray.

Shake well before use

FireHawk is an emulsified formulation. Shaking ensures the product is fully mixed for consistent coverage and best results.

Spray thoroughly

Spray the weeds or grasses you want to control until thoroughly wet. Apply to actively growing weeds less than 30 cm high. Use coarse droplets and avoid drift.

Shield desirable plants

When treating weeds around desirable plants, shield them from drift with cardboard or plastic. If desirable plants are accidentally sprayed, hose off immediately to reduce injury.

Watch for rain

Do not spray if rainfall is expected before spray deposits dry on weed surfaces. Do not water the treated area for 24 hours to achieve maximum results.

Plan for follow-up

Reapplication after two weeks may be necessary if regrowth occurs. Established weeds and grasses may require repeated application to obtain long-term control.

FireHawk Bioherbicide Plus Ready to Use is guided by farmers and weed-science specialists who think carefully about ecosystems and the spaces families use every day. Their perspective helps us create weed control products that are effective, targeted, and considered.
